Fibromyalgia Awareness 5/12/13

Today is a day of awareness.

If you have Fibromyalgia &/or Chronic Pain, Chronic Fatigue/ME today is dedicated to us and the thousands or millions like us around the world.

I can't remember the days before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic pain.  I woke up the other day and while laying quietly in bed I had a moment when I almost panicked because I wasn't hurting...then I moved.  I am never without pain.  I have learned to live with the pain to the point I don't think much about it I just deal with it.

I hope that the public becomes more aware that this disorder is real and we may look normal and try to act normal but we are anything but normal.

Encourage friends and family to become more aware by joining with the National Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association to educate the public as to what they do and what they help fund.

I have reached a point in my life where I don't think about the pain just live my life. People ask how is it possible, I can't explain. I guess you have to live with pain to understand.

Hope you're having more good days than bad days and enjoying crafting. :)

I was thinking about this yesterday. How I manage to be happy whilst also having constant pain. It is difficult to explain to someone who does not have the same issues. There are times when I get depressed, but I am determined not to allow the Fibro to completely ruin my life. We are only on this earth for such a short time. Crafting keeps me sort of sane, as well as my husband/animals. Even having a tv programme to look forward to helps me! Ali x
